A Level Results Day - FAQs

A Level Results are published on Thursday 15 August 2024.

We appreciate that this is a very uncertain time, and our Admissions Team are working hard to respond to all offer holders as soon as possible.

In the meantime, the information below may answer some questions.

Congratulations - you don't need to do anything else at the moment.

We will be in touch with you soon.

If you narrowly miss the grades in your offer, please email (applicants@girton.cam.ac.uk) your Statement of Results or a breakdown of your grades, as soon as possible and include RESULT BREAKDOWN in the subject line.  The document you send should show the marks you received for each paper and your overall score.

If your school is making an appeal for your grades, please make sure you have informed us of this via email (applicants@girton.cam.ac.uk) and include APPEAL as the subject line.

Please then keep us updated as the appeals process continues.

If you have received your results and do not yet have a decision on UCAS, we are likely to be in touch via email on results day.  If you do not hear from us by 2pm please email applicants@girton.cam.ac.uk and include NO DECISION as the subject line.

As part of the University's continued commitment to outreach and access, Cambridge will offer some applicants the opportunity to put themselves forward for the August Reconsideration Pool (previously known as Adjustment). Please visit the University of Cambridge website for more information.

Further questions

If you have any further questions, please email applicants@girton.cam.ac.uk.

Please do not call to check we have received your email or send duplicate emails, as this will slow down our response rate - we are working through emails as quickly as we can.

Best wishes,

Admissions Team, Student Services, Girton College
