Residency Benefits and Extras
As well as guaranteeing accommodation throughout your course, living in Girton College accommodation has other benefits.
Take a look what we offer below:
Undergraduate residence agreements cover 38 weeks from the start of Michaelmas term to the end of Easter term.
Students do not have to move their belongings throughout this time, other than certain students living in Ash Court.
The standard length of a Postgraduate Tenancy is 49 weeks but can be adjusted to course length. It will be set for a minimum of 42 weeks.
Residence charges are fixed for the duration of your course. There are no rent increases during this time. This enables students to plan their budget for their whole degree programme.
There are no extra charges. See the webpages below for an itemised list of what you will see on your bill.
This new bursary was introduced in 2022 to support undergraduate students with living costs. All students who receive a full or partial Cambridge Bursary will automatically receive the Residence Bursary. This amounts to £20 a week or £760 a year deduction on the College bill.
Further details can be found at Cambridge Bursary and Residence Bursary
