Recognising how stressful this extraordinary results round has been for applicants and their schools, Girton has made every effort to combine consistency with compassion, match fairness with flexibility and pursue ambitious widening participation targets.
Following yesterday’s announcement by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation we are in touch with all our remaining UK offer-holders whose admission depends on A-level or BTEC results. We will review their applications with the same flexibility and understanding as those whose places we have already confirmed.
We are set to receive our largest undergraduate intake for a decade – a diverse group, over 70% of whom are from state schools. We extend our warmest congratulations to all incoming students and thank them for their patience and goodwill.
